This ottoman fabric has small, subtle ribs - you could use it instead of slinky if you wanted a sturdier and less stretchy fabric. It would make flattering pants and unstructured jackets, and doesn't wrinkle. The back is flat, and the front is ribbed, with a dry and crisp hand. The ribs run across the width. There is only mechanical stretch this direction (the direction of the ribs). It is very stretchy along the length (perpendicular to the ribs).
