If you like rayon-spandex blends, you will love this decadent Modal-Spandex blend jersey. It's as soft as cashmere, but you would use it as you would cotton-spandex. However, it's much softer than cotton and stays soft after repeated washings. A little spandex helps retain the shape and enhance durability. This fabric is 6.5 oz. per square yard - nice and sturdy, but stretchy in all directions. It is the perfect t-shirt fabric, and would be great for sleepwear, lounge wear, or even baby clothes because it's so soft against the skin. Like your rayon-spandex knits, it's has a nice drape, making it great for the sexy, drapey jersey tops and dresses we are seeing on the runways. This is authentic Modal by Lenzing, which is made from beech wood, grown on tree farms that practice sustainability.
