www.lucysfabrics.com is a Fabric Boutique. Like your friendly shop on Main Street, we don't try to carry everything -- just select items for women's and children's apparel and accessories. We focus on stretch knits, lingerie supplies, fashion trims (some of which can also be used for crafts), and supplies for making handbags and totes. Our style is fashion-forward and young-at-heart, and every piece of fabric and trim is personally selected to fit into our merchandise mix and held to a high standard. We are inspired by our customers and love it when customers share pictures of their projects with us! Many of our customers sell their creations online, and we would love to link to your store or website on our links page. Since we are located northeast of Dallas, Texas, shipping costs are very reasonable throughout the USA. We have been selling fabric and trims online since 2004. See our eBay store to see what our customers say about us. How we got started: Laura started out with her own women's clothing line, selling it to boutiques around the USA. Having been selling stuff around the house on eBay for years, she decided to sell leftover fabric and trim to free up storage space, opening an eBay store in July, 2004. Soon, designer friends started asking her to help them find fabric, or sell their leftover fabric. Contractors started referring people who needed to sell their fabric, too. It didn't take long for fabric sales to become more enjoyable than the design and manufacturing business. On the eBay store you will find clearance items, odds and ends, and items with a quantity too low to sell on this website. Who is Lucy? Lucy is our Vice President of Security. She's a rescued American Pit Bull Terrier. She's 14 years old, and her support staff includes rescued APBTs BB, who is 11, and Loretta Lynn who is our new girl and is about 4-5 years old. And, we recently acquired our first boy, and our first Chow Chow. Jasper is a big ole 11 year old teddy bear who belonged to a friend who passed away. That's right, we have 3 Pit Bulls and a Chow. Please welcome The New Guy, a Boston Terrier puppy named Cinquo ("5") whose full-time job is keeping the old ones annoyed. That means my new job is keeping him from annoying the old ones ("HEY HEY NOOOOOO!! CINQUOOO! STOP IT!! STOP!! It's only fun til someone loses an eye!"). Our family works diligently to protect neglected and abused APBTs and to stop legislation that targets any specific dog breed. ... read the lucysfabrics blog for the latest news (and the occasional dog picture). 2008 brought us the blessing of country living. We made it through our first lambing season with our small flock of registered Southdown sheep. The most spoiled sheep in Texas, I think. We have lambs for sale -- school projects, breeding programs or just pets. Southdowns are famous for their sweet disposition and low feed requirements. Unless they are pregnant or lactating, Southdowns can live on grass alone (even on our poor, rocky land). They will keep property from being overgrown without destroying mature trees. Below is a picture of the first lamb born at our place at about 3 days old.
